Xander Scott was one of my favourite men on Randy Blue and he did several amazing shoots, some solo and others full-on man-to-man gay sex. By all accounts he was great guy, and these pics are taken from a photoshoot for a porn clip made with Reese Rideout, poolside. More of that in a later post.
It's a sad fact that many gay porn stars die young, and Xander was one of them. He died on 7th February 2016 of a drugs overdose, at the tragically young age of 30. He had filmed his last shoot at Randy Blue in 2010, and in 2011 he was involved in a near-fatal traffic accident, but made a full recovery. Sadly, though, his life took a wrong turn somewhere and he decided to end it.
Is gay porn a better place to be working a couple of years down the line? Unfortunately the answer is probably negative, but to put this in perspective, the stresses of being in the public eye performing for people's pleasure are by no means unique to gay porn, and deaths in other spheres of the entertainment world are by no means rare events. It does seem to me, though, that gay porn has more than its fair share of them!
